New Hampshire Golf & Bald Peak Colony Club Announce Schedule Change

Posted: September 16, 2025

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Golf and Bald Peak Colony Club are announcing a schedule change for the annual Robert H. Elliott Mid-Amateur Championship. Originally slated to be held in October of 2026, the event will now be moved to October 4th through the 6th of 2028. The move was made due to a recent Bald Peak membership vote to completely renovate their historic clubhouse, a project that is expected to take more than a year to complete. Both NHG and Bald Peak felt that in the best interest of the club and tournament participants that a move to 2028 was prudent and appropriate.

NHG Executive Director Matt Schmidt had this to say about the schedule change: “When Bald Peak approached us about the possibility of moving the Mid-Am to 2028 because of the impending clubhouse project, it was an easy decision. The scope and size of the project is impressive, and it made perfect sense to postpone the Mid-Am which will allow the club time to complete construction and offer our players the opportunity to see the finished project in the fall of 2028. We appreciate the open dialogue and transparency that we have had with the club over the past few months as Bald Peak has been and continues to be a valued partner to New Hampshire Golf and our members.”

Speaking on behalf of Bald Peak, General Manager Chris Wyles offered, “We are honored and excited to bring the New Hampshire Mid Am back to Bald Peak in October 2028. Our Club greatly appreciates the flexibility offered by New Hampshire Golf.  We are thrilled to share our completed renovation with the participants in 2028.”

In addition to this schedule change, New Hampshire Golf is happy to announce that the 2026 Mid-Amateur has been moved to the historic Mt. Washington Resort GC. The annual host of the popular Mid-Am Team tournament, this will be the first time that the Donald Ross design has hosted the Mid-Amateur Championship. The 2026 Mid-Am will be held October 5th-7th, 2026.
