Weather Delay & Playoff Drama Highlight NH Amateur Qualifier at Beaver Meadow

Posted: June 21, 2026

Concord, NH – Riley Reardon of Atkinson Resort & Country Club claimed medalist honors at the New Hampshire Amateur Championship Qualifier at Beaver Meadow Golf Course, posting an even-par 72 to lead the field and secure one of 22 available spots into the 123rd New Hampshire Amateur Championship presented by Davis & Towle Insurance, taking place next month at Cochecho Country Club.

The qualifier featured a strong field competing for positions in New Hampshire’s premier amateur championship, but the day was interrupted by severe weather. Thunderstorms in the area forced a suspension of play lasting approximately two and a half hours, creating a unique challenge for competitors as they worked to maintain momentum and focus throughout the lengthy delay.

Reardon proved to be the steadiest player in the field. His round featured birdies on the par-3 3rd and 13th holes, offsetting bogeys at hole 6 and 15. Reardon carded matching nines of 36 to finish at even par, the only player in the field to match par and earn medalist honors by one stroke.

Four players shared second place at 1-over-par 73, including Tucker Roberto of Manchester Country Club, Cameron Sheedy of NH Golf e-Club, Noah Dubois of Rochester Country Club, and Campbell French of Derryfield Country Club.

Stephen Quillinan (NH Golf e-Club), Jack Zioze (Abenaqui Country Club), Cam Brown (Concord Country Club), and Ryan Allard (The Golf Club of New England) finished tied for sixth at 2-over-par 74.

With scores tightly packed throughout the leaderboard, every stroke proved critical. The drama continued after the completion of regulation play as six players finished tied for the final three qualifying positions. The group returned to the course for a sudden-death playoff to determine the final three spots in the championship field.

Despite the weather delay and the pressure of a crowded leaderboard, Reardon remained in control throughout the day. His ability to limit mistakes and capitalize on scoring opportunities on two of Beaver Meadow’s par-3s proved to be the difference as he finished atop the standings.

By the end of the day, 22 players had successfully advanced through qualifying and earned their place in the 123rd New Hampshire Amateur Championship presented by Davis & Towle Insurance, with Reardon leading the way as medalist after posting the day’s only even-par round.
