Few golfers in New Hampshire’s history have enjoyed the kind of success Mady Savary has experienced in the 2026 season. The Concord-based 17 year old has seen hard work pay off, with wins in the New Hampshire Women’s Amateur, the New Hampshire Junior Amateur, and the New England Junior Amateur. After close calls in previous seasons, Savary broke through in a big way this year. Although this campaign has brought tons of achievement, it’s just the start for Mady Savary.
Savary credits her success to meticulous practice and hard work to improve her short game. When asked about what led to the improvement, Savary expressed, “Being a member at Concord Country Club has given me a great place to practice. The short game area is incredible, and that has been something I’ve struggled with in the past. I’ve been really committed to improving my putting this year because I know how important it is for scoring.”
While Savary has dominated major championships this season, her presence on the NH Golf Junior Tour has also given her a space for her game to grow. The winner of three Junior Tour events, Savary’s steady play gave her the confidence to compete in the biggest moments. She said, “Continuing to play well throughout the year has given me a lot of confidence. I know I’m capable of putting up good scores, and that has made my mental game stronger.”
Although there have been no shortage of spectacular moments for Savary in 2026, none matched the feeling that came with the NH Women’s Amateur win. She stated, “Winning the New Hampshire Women’s Amateur this year was beyond special. It proved that all my hard work is paying off, which is really rewarding to see.”
Although the win was special, Savary highlighted the celebration, remembering, “After the tournament, I went out to eat with some friends and family, which was a nice way to celebrate and something I’ll never forget. I am so grateful to have those people in my life.”
This season has brought plenty of trophies for Savary, but this is just the beginning. Heading into her senior year of high school, Savary outlined a few goals to wrap up an already stellar year. She said, “My next goal is to finish my high school golf career strong. My team has won the team title the past two years, and we’re looking to go for a third. I still haven’t won the individual title, so I’m definitely going to continue working hard and hopefully achieve that goal.”
Savary also envisions continuing her golf career after high school. Verbally committed to compete at Murray State, she noted, “In the future, I’m really looking forward to playing golf in college. It’s a whole different level of competition, but I’m really excited to see where it can take me.”
With a high school title still to chase and a college career on the horizon, Savary’s breakthrough may be only the beginning of what comes next.
