Concord, NH – New Hampshire Golf (NHG) announces that Kate Billings, its longtime Director of Member Services and Communications, will leave the organization effective Friday, September 25th.
Billings joined NHG in 2016 after serving as a USGA Boatwright Intern with the Vermont Golf Association, where she assisted with tournament administration. During her 10 years with New Hampshire Golf, she played a key role in streamlining handicapping and course rating services for member clubs, modernizing NHG’s social media platforms, and supporting significant membership growth.
She was also an invaluable part of NHG’s recent rebrand, helping to strengthen the organization’s communications and connection with members and the broader golfing community.
“Kate embodied the very best of New Hampshire Golf,” said Matt Schmidt, NHG Executive Director. “She has been a tireless promoter of this organization and has brought exceptional warmth and care to every interaction with customers and tournament players. The personal relationships she built and valued will leave an indelible mark on NHG.”
In addition to her work at New Hampshire Golf, Billings has been an active member of the local community. She coached the Concord High School girls ice hockey team for several years, helping lead the team to a state championship in 2020.
“Kate’s professionalism, creativity, and commitment to our member clubs have helped move NHG forward in countless ways,” said Schmidt. “She has been a valued co-worker and colleague, and her presence will be deeply missed both inside and outside the walls of NHG. Her contributions to NHG will be felt for many years to come and we wish her and her family the very best.”
“New Hampshire Golf has been so much more than a job to me. It’s been a huge part of my life for the past 10 years. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished, especially the growth of the organization and the connections we’ve built with our member clubs and golfers”, said Billings. “But what I’ll cherish most are the people. The friendships, the laughs, and the relationships that will stay with me long after I leave. I’m excited about what’s ahead but sad to say goodbye to NH Golf. I’m so grateful for this chapter and will always be proud to have been part of the NH Golf family.”
Billings will take on marketing responsibilities with Merchants Auto in Hooksett. NHG wishes her continued success in this next chapter, along with her husband, Derek, and their son, Nolin.
