New Hampshire Golf Announces Team New Hampshire’s Addition to the U.S. National Development Program

Posted: October 21, 2026

CONCORD, N.H. — October 2026 — New Hampshire Golf is proud to announce that New Hampshire has been selected to join the United States Golf Association’s (USGA) U.S. National Development Program (USNDP), establishing Team New Hampshire as a new pathway for the state’s elite junior golfers to develop their skills, gain competitive experience, and pursue their long-term goals in the game.

The USNDP was established by the USGA to identify, support, and develop talented American junior golfers by strengthening opportunities at the state, regional, and national levels. Through its state-based team model, the program works to create a more connected junior golf landscape and provide athletes with the resources and experiences needed to continue progressing in the sport.

Team New Hampshire will be administered by New Hampshire Golf in partnership with a dedicated Team New Hampshire committee. The program is expected to select its first team for the 2028 golf season, with a maximum roster of eight players: four boys and four girls.

Through Team New Hampshire, selected athletes will have access to a structured development environment focused on competitive opportunities, player growth, and team culture. The initiative will also strengthen connections among junior golf organizations and leaders throughout the state, helping create a more cohesive pathway for aspiring golfers.

“This is an exciting step forward for junior golf in New Hampshire,” said Ben Lanman, Director of Junior Golf at New Hampshire Golf. “The opportunity to be part of the USNDP allows us to build on the strong foundation of junior golf in our state and create additional opportunities for our top players to develop, compete, and represent New Hampshire.  It will also give developing players something to strive for. We’re excited to work alongside the USGA to bring this program to life here in the Granite State”

The launch of Team New Hampshire represents a continued commitment by New Hampshire Golf to growing the game and supporting junior golfers at every stage of their development. By combining existing junior golf opportunities with a dedicated state team, the program aims to help talented players take the next steps in their competitive golf journeys while fostering a strong sense of pride in representing New Hampshire.

Additional information regarding Team New Hampshire, including player selection, program structure, and future opportunities, will be shared as plans for the inaugural team continue to develop.
