Somersworth, NH – The final spots into the 122nd New Hampshire Amateur Championship presented by Davis & Towle Insurance with support from Johnnie Walker field were decided Monday at The Oaks Golf Links, where 13 players punched their ticket to Rochester Country Club following a competitive final qualifier.  Local standout Jabe Felch (The Oaks GL) stole the show with a brilliant 2-under-par 69 to earn medalist honors on his home course. Those qualifying fired 77 (+6) or better to advance to the championship which begins next Monday, July 7th at Rochester Country Club.

Felch was dialed in early, carding a 3-under 32 on the front nine, including birdies on holes 6, 8, and 9, giving him confidence heading into the back nine at The Oaks. Despite a bogey on the par-4 10th hole, he held steady for much of the back nine.  Keeping his back nine to just one-over par, Felch finished his round strong to earn medalist honors by one stroke.

In total, Felch posted four birdies, 12 pars, and just two bogeys, navigating the challenging par-71 layout at The Oaks with poise and local knowledge. Felch looks to continue this momentum as he leads the 13 qualifying golfers headed to Rochester next week.

Just behind him, Justin Grondahl (NHGA e-Club) carded a solid 1-under 70 to finish second and comfortably within the cutline. Kevin Gaynor (Souhegan Woods GC) and Justin Fogarty (CandiaOaks) each shot even-par 71s to tie for third.

The cut to make it to the New Hampshire Amateur fell at 77 (+6) with 13 golfers earning the final qualifying spots into the championship.  Ben Robinson (Manchester CC), Eddie DiLorenzo (Atkinson Resort & CC) and Tim Wolak (Canterbury Woods CC) claimed the last three spots and look forward to competing against the top amateurs in the state.
