Bretton Woods, NH – After years of determination and close finishes, the New Hampshire Women’s Tri-State team brought home the coveted Tri-State trophy for the first time since 2019. Battling through two days of challenging conditions at the stunning but demanding Mt. Washington Resort Golf Club, Team NH emerged victorious with a final score of 140.5 points, narrowly edging out Maine (134.5) and Vermont (130).
Thursday’s opening round was marked by gusty winds that tested every aspect of the players’ games. New Hampshire rose to the occasion, finishing the day with a strong lead — 56 points — ahead of Vermont (40) and Maine (39).
Friday brought a chilly start and even more drama. For a brief stretch, Maine overtook the lead, making for a tense finish. But New Hampshire held their nerve and their ground, delivering clutch performances down the stretch to reclaim the lead and secure the championship in a thrilling final push.
The Tri-State Championship is an annual competition between women’s amateur teams from New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont, celebrating regional pride and camaraderie.
