Concord, NH – New Hampshire Golf (NH Golf) is pleased to announce that Sarah Leahy will join its staff as Director of Brand Management & Golfer Engagement, beginning May 18, following the completion of her MBA at Mercer University. In this role, Leahy will help lead NH Golf’s efforts to strengthen its brand while creating engaging programs and experiences for golfers throughout the state. Her work will focus on building connections within the golf community and expanding opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.

Leahy previously served as a P.J. Boatwright Intern with Mass Golf, where she gained experience in association operations and event management while supporting initiatives designed to grow the game.

“We’re excited to welcome Sarah to the NH Golf team,” said Matt Schmidt, NH Golf Executive Director. “She brings a great combination of experience in golf administration, a passion for sports, and a strong understanding of how to build meaningful connections within the golf community. We’re confident she will play an important role in strengthening our brand and enhancing the experience for golfers across New Hampshire.”

Leahy brings experience and excitement to the role saying, “Being able to combine my passion for sports with my interest in operations, event planning, and growing the game is incredibly exciting. I’m looking forward to creating meaningful experiences for golfers across the state and helping build programs that make the sport more accessible and engaging.”

She was also drawn to NH Golf’s commitment to building a welcoming golf community, saying, “What stood out to me about NH Golf is its dedication to growing the game in an inclusive way. The organization does a great job creating opportunities for players at every level, from juniors just starting out to competitive amateurs.”

In her new role, Leahy hopes to contribute by developing engaging events, strengthening relationships within the golf community, and helping introduce new players to the game. She stated, “Growing the game means continuing to make golf feel welcoming and accessible, especially for juniors, young players, and those trying the sport for the first time.”

In addition to completing her MBA, Leahy is also a Division I women’s lacrosse player at Mercer University, where her team has won its conference championship six consecutive years. NH Golf looks forward to welcoming Leahy to the organization this spring as it continues its mission to serve and grow the game across New Hampshire.
